Dear HR manager:

I am writing to apply for a business analyst internship position (product management & analytics intern). About a BA’s role, I really agree with your team’s saying “sit at the intersection of delivering human-centered, business-focused and technology-driven solutions for our customers”. Moreover, I think the basic rule of helping consumers solve problems is exactly mining what are their needs and what and how we can do in steps. It’s about trust, expertise, cultural and more.

I worked as a HR manager for 2 years (2012-2014), not only served as a link between the company’s management and its employees, but also did a lot work on maintaining the relationship with wholesalers and purchasing agents. Before this period, in 2010-2011, I worked as a costumer servicer, maintain the relationship with small business owners and their employees. Luckily, I was in a big enterprise in the first full time work, trained regularly. I observed what costumers and colleagues did around me, thought frequently about what I needed to learn and what next job position I could be. I am an effective information collector, quickly learner and have the spirit of adventure. Here is a proof that I was the only one person, jumped out from the service team, got a better job offer (HR manager). Continually, I practiced and adjusted HR knowledge and experience into new work.  Because of the contributes I made for the company, I got the trust from bosses quickly. Meanwhile, the president of NanjiStar company trained and arranged me to participate into the marketing process. However, I got many questions about human marketing decision, and unefficient data collecting and analyzing experience made me wanted to deeply understand the information professionally.

The master of data analytics engineering program in GMU is a turning point of my career. First, I know the whole technical processes of handing a big data problem. Thus, it will help me be a bridge between consumers and our technical team. I’ve built predict modelling skills. I can use big data analyzing tools to understand the information. I also have good presentation skills, not only because I have a good physical performance, but also I know how to use big data visualization tools to present the data results to managers and consumers in a clarified and vivid way.

I’m looking forward you and your team have interest in interviewing me. More information about me, you could reach me via email or cell phone number #703-935-9813. Thank you for your time!

Regards,

Yan Jia
